Glen Tanar Visitor Centre

- A place to be, a place to see

The Glen Tanar Visitor Centre, previously Braeloine Cottage, is home to the Ranger Service and the starting point for the estate's waymarked walks.

You will also find

  • Toilet facilities
  • Drinking water
  • Displays about the natural and cultural heritage of Glen Tanar
  • Information on what you can do in the area and the wider Cairngorms National Park
  • Charging point for electric bikes

The Visitor Centre also provides inside and outside space for our work with educational or visiting groups.

We  also run workshops, training sessions and give presentations in the Visitor Centre.

Opening Times

The Visitor Centre is open daily, except Tuesdays, throughout the year, from 10.00 a.m. until 5.00 p.m.

Accessibility

From Braeloine Bridge, there is a relatively smooth path leading to the Centre. A ramp, and automatic door, leads into the building. There is a toilet  for wheelchair users.
