Education

Whether you are a Teacher, Lecturer, Professor, Youth Group Leader or Parent leading a Home School Group we are able to offer educational experiences that will add to your group's learning.

We have experience of:

  • Preparing and providing environmental games and activities for young children;
  • Supervising fieldwork- including environmental monitoring- as part of the  ‘curriculum for excellence’;
  • Organising practical ‘hands- on’ conservation work;
  • Supporting Young People with Work Experience placements;
  • Staff CPD and training;
  • Supporting site visits for graduate and post-graduate students of  natural resource management.

If you have any questions, or would like to know please get in touch.

Friday Health Walks

Our weekly Friday Health Walks run every week from 10 , last for about an hour and a half, and aim to cater for anyone who would like to join us.

We usually meet at the Visitor Centre Car park, but on occasion we may meet elsewhere so please give us a phone if you would like to come along or if you have any questions.

Hands on Conservation Days

Our practical conservation days run in conjunction with the North East Scotland John Muir Trust Conservation Volunteers on the third Saturday of each month (except December) starting from 10 and aiming to finish mid afternoon.

During 2024 the group helped us by planting trees and maintaining deer exclosures, removal of redundant fencing, path maintenance and monitoring of twin flower translocations.
